Regular price $25.00

Purpose built by the Holden Racing Team with technology previously unseen in touring car racing, including a unique roll-cage design, this 1996 VR Commodore helped carry Craig Lowndes to a unique 'three-peat' that year by claiming the Australian Touring Car Championship, Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000.

Lowndes became just the second driver in history along with Peter Brock to achieve this unique treble.

Making its debut at the Calder round of the championship, Lowndes drove this special Commodore to round wins at Lakeside, Barbagallo and Mallala in 1996, becoming the youngest-ever series chmapion at the age of just 21. He also became the youngest driver at the time to win Bathurst as he and Kiwi co-driver Greg Murphy won in style, leading 192 of the 161 laps on their way to a dominant victory.
