In 1967 the Porsche 911 had not yet reached its legendary status but its career was already going well. At Porsche headquarters development continued on this promising range by modifying the engine with the appearance of a new 1991cc with 160 horsepower. The USA was starting to become a huge market for the brand and to please the Californian clientele, the car was designed in a coupé version with a removable roof so that you could appreciate the sun 360 days a year. In a jiffy, the 911 could be transformed into an “almost cabriolet”. This car became emblematic of the brand and the latest version of the 911 uses the same architecture.
