Mitsubishi’s Lancer Evo is an icon. In 2005 the 8th generation of this sports car was entrusted to the mechanical sports service of Mitsubishi Motors UK, the British branch of the manufacturer. In association with the specialists over at Rampage, Owen Developments and Flow Race Engines, they redesigned the legendary 2L turbo engine of the Lancer, pushing it up to 405 horsepower. The result: an impressive 0 to 100 in 3.5 seconds, roundly defeating more expensive super cars such as the Porsche Carrera GT, tenfold more expensive. With such impressive performances associated to an incredibly sturdy 4-wheel drive chassis, the Lancer quickly became the ultimate weapon in rallies.
